Orleans Sod started in 2014 with a simple idea. Greater New Orleans homeowners were tired of buying tired sod that had been trucked in from out of state and stacked at a big-box store for a week. Sod is a perishable product, and the only way to get it right is to cut it the morning of delivery and bring it straight to the customer.
That is what we do. We grow on local Louisiana farms, cut fresh, and deliver across Jefferson Parish, Orleans Parish, St. Bernard Parish, and the river parishes. The owner answers the phone. The crew knows your neighborhood. There is no call center, no chain-store middleman, no sod that has been sitting on a pallet for a week losing color.
We are still small enough to know every yard we deliver to, and big enough to stock the four warm-season grasses that fit South Louisiana: St. Augustine, Zoysia, Bermuda, and Centipede.
