1. Agreement

By using orleanssod.com, requesting a quote, or placing an order with Orleans Sod (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our site or services.

2. Quotes and Pricing

Quotes are estimates valid for 7 days unless otherwise stated. Final pricing is confirmed at the time of order based on grass availability, pallet count, delivery distance, and any additional services requested. Pricing is subject to change without notice for orders not yet confirmed.

3. Orders and Payment

  • Orders are confirmed once we have your delivery address, contact information, and a confirmed delivery date.
  • Payment is due before or at the time of delivery, unless other arrangements have been made for builder or commercial accounts.
  • We accept cash, credit card, and approved checks.

4. Delivery

  • Delivery windows are estimates, not guaranteed times. Weather, traffic, and farm conditions can affect timing.
  • An adult must be present at delivery to confirm placement and accept the order, or pre-arrange delivery instructions.
  • The delivery address must be accessible to a flatbed truck or comparable delivery vehicle. Soft ground, low-clearance gates, narrow alleys, and similar obstructions may prevent delivery and forfeit the deposit.
  • Sod is a perishable product. We recommend installation within 24 hours of delivery.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations made 48 or more hours before scheduled delivery: full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of scheduled delivery: 25% restocking fee.
  • Same-day cancellations or no-show at delivery: full charge applies.
  • Rescheduling is free if requested 24 or more hours before delivery.

6. Product Warranty

We deliver sod that is freshly cut, inspected, and in good condition at the time of delivery. Sod is a living product; once it leaves our farm, environmental factors (watering, soil prep, sun exposure, foot traffic, pets) determine its long-term health. Orleans Sod is not responsible for sod failure resulting from improper installation, inadequate watering, poor site preparation, or post-delivery handling.

If sod arrives in poor condition, notify us within 24 hours of delivery with photos so we can address the issue.

7. Installation Services

If you book our installation crew, the scope of work, ground preparation included, and post-install care guidance will be detailed in a separate written estimate. Installation services carry a 30-day workmanship warranty covering placement, cutting, and seam alignment. Sod health post-installation depends on customer-side watering and care.

8. SMS Text Message Communications

If you opt in to SMS communications by checking the consent box on our quote request form, you agree to receive text messages from Orleans Sod at the phone number you provide. SMS opt-in is affirmative and never pre-checked.

  • Quote responses and order confirmations
  • Delivery scheduling and arrival updates
  • Follow-up regarding active orders or service inquiries

Frequency

Variable. Typically 1 to 5 messages per active quote or order.

Rates

Message and data rates may apply per your carrier’s plan. Orleans Sod does not charge for SMS.

Opt-Out

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe immediately. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact support@orleanssod.com or call 504-342-4424.

Data Sharing

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

9. Use of Website

You agree to use our website lawfully and not to:

  • Submit false or misleading information through our forms
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data
  • Interfere with the operation of the site

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Orleans Sod is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website, products, or services. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order in question.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Orleans Parish, Louisiana.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our site or services after changes constitutes acceptance.
