St. Augustine, Zoysia, Bermuda, and Centipede grass sod for sale and delivery across Terrytown on the Westbank of Jefferson Parish.
Terrytown is a regular delivery route for our crew. From our yard in Lakeview, a pallet reaches Terrytown in 25 to 30 minutes via the Crescent City Connection. Next-day delivery is on the table when we have cut stock ready.
Terrytown is one of the youngest planned communities in Jefferson Parish. Developer Paul Kapelow opened it on March 5, 1960, and named it after his daughter Terry. The town sits on the Westbank just south of New Orleans, bordered by Gretna to the west, Timberlane to the south, and Belle Chasse across the parish line in Plaquemines.
Because Terrytown was built as a subdivision in the early 1960s, lots here are uniform in size, the streets follow a planned grid, and elevation runs about three feet below sea level. The original tree canopy has matured along Terry Parkway and Carol Sue Avenue, so older interior blocks now carry meaningful shade. Newer south-end lots near Behrman Highway stay sunnier. Soil here is heavy clay alluvium, and managed drainage matters everywhere on the Westbank.
Pricing runs by the pallet. Each pallet covers 450 sq ft and the rate shifts with grass type and order size.
$250 to $350 per pallet

Older Terrytown lots interior to Terry Parkway call for Palmetto St. Augustine. Newer south-end lots near Behrman Highway work better with Bermuda or Zoysia. We pick the grass for your lot, not the other way around.

Terrytown soil is heavy clay alluvium with organic matter, the same Mississippi River floodplain profile that runs through the Westbank. Lots sit about three feet below sea level, so drainage was built into the original 1960 subdivision plat. That holds water longer than sand, so cut back watering frequency once the lawn establishes. Shaded yards need less water and a raised mowing height. Watch for chinch bugs and brown patch in the humid summer months. After a hard freeze (rare but real), give the grass time before deciding it is dead. Warm-season grasses usually come back in April.

Yes. Both corridors are regular delivery routes for us. We cover all of Terrytown and the surrounding Westbank communities including Gretna and Belle Chasse.
Depends on the trees. Older interior Terrytown lots that kept their canopy work well with Palmetto St. Augustine. Lots with open sun do well with Bermuda or Zoysia.
